Champions League Round of 16

The Wednesday match of the Champions League was filled with drama and heart stopping moments. The March 11 matches saw many goals and excitement along with some near misses and some oh moments. Let's get the review of the match from our analyst. 






The first match between Bayern Munich and Shakthar Donetsk was a very one sided match. Goals were raining like it was monsoon. An avalanche of goals started in the early minutes. A 4th minute goal by Thomas Müller opened the scoring for the Bundesliga giants. Again after the 34th minute goal by J.Boateng insured the home sides that they were going toward what appeared to be a comfortable win. Further goals from Müller, Ribery, Badstuber, Lewendowski and Mario Götze led them to a more than convincing win.


On the other hand BPL giant Chelsea stumbled to a draw/knockout in their disappointing home game against PSG. Although with no Zlatan to play with PSG avoided a near loss game. After their 1-1 draw at Parc des Princes PSG held on to a 2-2 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. 81st minute goal from Gary Cahill nearly settled the game for Chelsea but past Chelsea player and PSG's summer transfer Daivid Luiz equalized in the 86th minute. A goal from Hazard in the 96th and late header from Thiago Silva were the closing moments of the game when PSG's the dugout burst with madness and excitement. With the score 3-3 as aggregate PSG won and headed into the quarterfinals while Chelsea were left healing their wounds.
